There will be a 2 hour delay this morning, January 29th, no am pre-k, and the MSAD11 central office will open at 8 am. While the snow is rapidly coming to an end, road crews need more time to clear the side roads. Enjoy your day and stay safe.

Due to today's storm, all MSAD 11 after-school activities have been cancelled (1/26/24).

Due to today’s storm, the high school and middle school will be dismissed at 11 am and the elementary schools will be dismissed at 12. A decision about evening athletics will be made shortly. With more snow than expected, we want to be sure students return home safely.
The Central Office will close at 2:00 pm.

School will be in session today! See you soon at the regularly scheduled time. 1/26/2024 (Friday)
Please save the remote learning packets that were sent home with students yesterday for another day when they are needed.

There will be a 2 hour delay, no am pre-k and the Central Office will open at 9 am in MSAD11 today. The roads and sidewalks are all covered with ice, though crews are out treating roads. The temps are currently hovering around 30 degrees and the freezing rain is not expected to end until 7 am. If the temperatures do not warm up sufficiently it is possible that this delay could turn into a cancellation since our buses will have to be on the road before 8 am. If we need to shift the delay to a cancellation, another message will be sent out by 7:15 am.If you have to be out first thing this morning, please be safe out there.

Pat Hopkins MSAD 11 Superintendent of Schools: Due to today’s storm, the high school and middle school will be dismissed at 11:00 am and the elementary schools will be dismissed at 12:00 pm and there will be no afternoon Pre-K. The Central Office will close today at 2 pm and there will be no afternoon or evening activities. As of this moment, the forecast is calling for close to 6 inches in our area with the heavy snow beginning around noon and tapering off beginning around 8 pm. The roads are supposed to be slick, so I want to get buses and cars off the roads before they get too bad. Enjoy your day and stay safe.

Wednesday, January 10, there will be a 2 hour delay and no morning Pre-Kindergarten. The change to rain will have our roads in decent condition by the time buses get on the road. The wind gusts are supposed to begin subsiding around 7 am. Should we begin seeing significant power outages, downed trees and/or serious flooding, this delay could change into a cancellation. With a 2 hour delay, our buses will be on the road around 8 am, so if the delay is changed to a cancellation, another notice will be sent out between 7 - 7:30 am. The Central Office will open at 9:30 am. Stay safe.

Good morning. This is Pat Hopkins, MSAD 11 Superintendent of Schools. There will be no school today in MSAD 11. Last night I was clearly over optimistic about the possibility of getting power restored and roads cleared in order for us to have school today. Good luck with the clean up today. Please stay safe and I will provide families and staff with updates as they become available.

Good evening, this is Pat Hopkins, Superintendent of Schools for MSAD 11. I hope this message finds you well.
I wanted to inform you that tomorrow, Tuesday, December 19, at a minimum, there will be a two-hour delay for the start of school and the Central Office will open at 9 am. With such significant debris on the roads, I believe it is essential to wait until there is sufficient daylight before buses and vehicles hit the road. Additionally, the wind storm has caused damage to the roof at the high school and we need some time to assess the severity of the damage before allowing students and staff in the building.
Should it be determined that a two-hour delay proves to be insufficient, I will promptly release another message in the morning with further updates. Your understanding and cooperation are greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Currently there is no power at the middle school and the Helen Thompson School. At this time we do not have an estimated time for the power to be restored and as the day goes on, we anticipate even more outages. Without lights and at HT without septic and water, it is necessary for me to release school early today. The Gardiner Area High School and the Gardiner Regional Middle School will be released at 10:30 and all of the elementary schools will be released at 11:30. Parents who have children at the Helen Thompson School, if you are able to pick up your child prior to 11:30 am, I request that you do so. Again Gardiner Area High School and Gardiner Regional Middle School will be dismissed at 10:30 and the elementary schools will be dismissed at 11:30 am. There is no afternoon pre-k.
