BusRight will launch on Wednesday, January 15th.
Invitations to download the BusRight app will be sent to parent/guardian emails on Wednesday, January 15th. Emails will come from support@busright.com with the subject “You’re Invited to BusRight,” and will contain a link to create an account with BusRight.
The BusRight app will allow you to follow your child’s bus route to and from school in real time, receive notifications when the bus begins and ends its route, view the expected arrival time at your child’s bus stop, and receive alerts from the MSAD #11 Transportation Department.
We’re working closely with the BusRight team to ensure a smooth roll-out. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to make improvements and perfect the system!
Please be sure your student’s school has your correct email address on file.
Questions or issues regarding the use of the BusRight app should be directed to support@busright.com.
As always, questions about your child's bus stop or route should be directed to the Transportation Office at (207)582-6663 or by email to Transportation_office@msad11.org.

Dear Parent/Guardians and Staff: MSAD11 has been informed by PowerSchool, the platform we use to manage student information, of a recent cybersecurity incident involving unauthorized access to customer data stored on their servers. Note - this incident occurred on PowerSchool’s systems and did not involve any servers or systems under the control of our school district. Many school districts throughout the United States have been affected. PowerSchool has assured us that the breach has been contained and that they are taking all necessary steps to secure their systems and prevent future incidents. While no operational disruptions have occurred, it is possible that certain student, staff, and family information was accessed. We are working closely with PowerSchool to understand the scope of the incident and will provide updates as more information becomes available. Please be assured that the safety and privacy of all our data remain our highest priority. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to our office at 207.582.5346 ext. 1224. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Good afternoon. I am contacting you to update you on the status of this morning’s threat against Gardiner Area High School. The person who made the threat has been identified and has been arrested for terrorizing. Thank you to all of the law enforcement officers who investigated this threat and swiftly took action to ensure the safety of our students and staff.
Since there is no on-going threat, the Gardiner Area High School is reopened. Staff may re-enter the building and athletic practices and events may resume.
I hope you all have a very happy holiday season.
Pat Hopkins, MSAD11 Superintendent of Schools

BusRight is almost here!
If you are the parent of a bus rider, you will soon be able to create an account and view your student’s bus route, know the real-time ETA to their bus stop, set up notifications to receive alerts, and more!
We’re working hard behind the scenes to make sure our routes, stops, and contact information are accurate. On January 2nd, our drivers will begin testing the system to make sure the launch goes smoothly. As soon as BusRight is ready to roll out to the community, we’ll send you an email that walks you through how to create an account.
Please be sure that your student’s school has a valid email address on file for you!

Winter Concert for 4th and 5th grade at the High School 12/17/2024 @ 6:30pm.

PRCS Holiday Spirit Week.

Due to the power outage in Pittston, there will be a 2 hour delay to the start of school today at PRCS only. There is no set time yet for power to be restored, so I’m going to start with a two hour delay and reassess as necessary. All other MSAD 11 Schools are open and will begin on time. For PRCS parents who have children in the Pre-K AM program at the Laura E Richards School, if you have transportation, you are welcome to take them to school for an 8:30 am start. If you do not receive another update from me, plan on the 2 hour delay. If it appears that power will not be restored this morning and a cancellation is necessary, another message will be sent to you no later than 9:15 am. Thank you. Hope you stay warm.

Good morning again. Unfortunately, the temperature is still too low to make it safe to drive or walk to school. The roads and walkways are very icy, and because it’s so cold, the salt isn’t melting the ice. Because of this, today will be a remote learning day in MSAD11. Your child’s teacher and principal have already shared details about remote learning. If you have any questions, please email your child’s teacher or principal. The Central Office will open at noon today.

There will be a 2 hour delay to the start of school in MSAD11 today, no AM pre-k, and the Central Office will open at 9 am. The roads are very icy this morning. If road conditions do not improve by 7:00 am, it will be necessary to make today a remote day. Should that happen, you will receive another message around 7:15 am. Thank you, drive safe and enjoy your day.

Dear Families,
Stormy, winter days are right around the corner! The District is planning to have a remote snow day, if possible, to help us avoid making up a day of school. This will only happen if a storm doesn’t look like it will take out a lot of power or the internet and can be planned ahead of the storm. Superintendent Pat Hopkins will communicate with families if a remote day will happen.
The plan for our PreK-5 students:
• Lunches will be sent home with students before a remote storm day. Please complete this form to let us know if you would like to have your child receive a school lunch to take home or not. If you have already done so, please disregard this second notice.
• A learning packet will also be sent home with students before a remote storm day. It will contain a literacy activity, a math activity, and an activity choice from art, music, or PE. These are meant for practicing skills that students have been learning in the classroom. No new learning is expected to happen on a remote day. Please return learning packets to school for teachers to check.
•Teachers will communicate office hours in case parents have any questions about the learning activities that were sent home. This time is not for classroom instruction.
Let’s hope that Mother Nature takes it easy on us this year! If you have any questions, please reach out to me or your child’s teacher.
