Good afternoon.

This is an update on the status of this morning’s threat against Gardiner Area High School:

The person who made the threat has been identified and has been arrested for terrorizing. Thank you to all of the law enforcement officers who investigated this threat and swiftly took action to ensure the safety of our students and staff.

Since there is no on-going threat, the Gardiner Area High School is reopened. Staff may re-enter the building and athletic practices and events may resume.

I hope you all have a very happy holiday season.

Pat Hopkins
MSAD11 Superintendent of Schools
