Not the First. The 27th. There are currently 20 State funded School Based Health Centers and 6 others that are open that do not get State grant funding. The community proposed School Based Health Center would be the 27th opened in the State of Maine. At our Community Engagement Forum, we will hear from one of the 26 about how they operate and how it has impacted their students and their families. Join us for the conversation. Earlier this week Maine DOE shared a Priority Notice regarding increased risk of mosquito borne illnesses in several Maine counties, including Kennebec. Following the DOE recommendations we are sharing this notice with families and are encouraging precautions to mitigate risk. In addition, each school will have appropriate repellent available and with written request from parent or guardian, it may be applied by the school nurse. To read the full notice from the DOE, please click this link:https://mailchi.mp/maine/cu5lemq6y0-1328287?e=cfa50fab42
