Hello Everyone:
It has come to our attention that there is some level of confusion or misunderstanding about the use of district facilities. This letter has been put together to help clarify what is allowable and not allowable during the current pandemic.
Gardiner Area High School Facilities
Not Allowed:
· Use of any facilities (inside or outside) by non-district organizations/groups or sport leagues for games or training events.
· Use of any facilities (inside or outside) by high school sponsored athletic teams no earlier than July 6.
Allowed:
· Individual/non-organized use of outside facilities. This includes family use and use by individuals for recreational purposes. Examples include: walking or running on the track, two or three individuals tossing or kicking a ball around, kite flying, tossing a frisbee, dribbling a field hockey ball, walking with a stroller, etc.
· No earlier than July 6, outside facilities may be available for use by school sponsored high school athletic teams and coaches as long as social distancing guidelines are adhered to.
Gardiner Regional Middle School Facilities
Not Allowed:
· Use of any facilities (inside or outside) by non-district organizations/groups or sport leagues for games or training events.
· Use of any facilities (inside or outside) by high school sponsored athletic teams until July 6.
Allowed:
· Individual/non-organized use of outside facilities. This includes family use and use by individuals for recreational purposes. (See the examples under Gardiner Area High School.)
· No earlier than July 6, outside facilities may be available for use by high school sponsored athletic teams and coaches as long as social distancing guidelines are adhered to.
Elementary School Facilities
Not Allowed:
· Use of any facilities (inside or outside) by non-district organizations/groups, sport leagues for games or training events.
· Use of any facilities (inside or outside) by high school sponsored athletic teams until July 6.
· Use of any playground equipment by any person.
Allowed:
· Individual/non-organized use of outside facilities, excluding playground equipment. This includes family use and use by individuals for recreational purposes. (See the examples under Gardiner Area High School.)
· No earlier than July 6, outside facilities may be available for use by high school sponsored athletic teams and coaches as long as social distancing guidelines are adhered to.
